昼過ぎにリトルトンに到着。3000人の小さな町です。クライストチャーチの外港としての町です。下船後しばらくリトルトンの町を散策。小さなマーケットもあります。「生」と書いた寿司屋もあります。日本にゆかりのある人なのでしょう。こちらの寿司はほとんど生寿司はありません、のり巻きであったり、シャリの上にてんぷらみたいなものがのっています。リトルトンの繁華街はその「通り」だけであとは住宅地でした。雨が降る中、クライストチャーチへ行くか、迷いましたが、仲間から外れ、バスで20分くらい揺られてニュジーランド第二の都市に着きました。
4ドルです。乗合いバスで30分に一本なので1000人は無理だということで、ピースボート側ではバスをチャーター10台予約しましたが往復3500¥もします。これは辞退しました。
まず行くところは「カンタベリー博物館」です。バスから降りた日本人はどんどん少なくなり、あれっと思ったときは誰もいません。ここはどこ？と焦れば焦るほどわからなくなり、テルミーミュージアム？を2回ほど繰り返したら、日本人、中国人がいっぱいいました。やれやれ。無料です。写真可です。メルボルンと同じく、生命、人類の歴史、世界の歴史では、江戸時代のサムライ、浮世絵などが展示してあります。
数年前（2011年）のカンタベリ大地震で日本人も被害にあったところですが、被害の記念として、カゼラルスクエアとして、崩壊されたままの建物であります。
ようやく現在地を確認してから、カードボートカセドラルという紙で作られた教会を訪問しました。ここはカゼラルスクエアにあった仮設大聖堂です。
せっかく、街に来たのだからとピザとコーラを注文。周りが、若いカップルばっかりの小さなお店。ピザを2ピース注文していたので、同様に頼みまします。かなり量が多い、「失敗」と心うちです。
そして無事にバスターミナルに到着。バスにて帰港しました。
船は23時にリトルトン港を大きな汽笛を鳴らして出航を夢の中で聴いた気がします。
実はニュジーランド当局の検閲のために入港したわけで、これから再びフィヨルドにもどることになりました。
